Rafting on the river
The Pakhra River is a popular rafting, kayaking and sapboarding route. The river is located in a picturesque place, where there are dense deciduous forests and pine forests, villages are spread along the banks of the river, and suspension bridges stretch over the water in places. But the route is attractive not only for its beautiful scenery. In this area of the Moscow region, you can see historical sights - manors, temples, monasteries. There are also old quarries in the Pakhra Valley, built once to extract the famous Moscow white stone.
Hiking trails around Krasnaya Pakhra
Surprisingly, there are still untouched corners of nature on the territory of New Moscow. A unique natural area, the Malinki Biogeocenological Station of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is located just 10 km from the Krasnaya Pakhra Resort. Here, in the depths of the forest, there are about 140 species of birds. It has been a nature conservation area since 1963.A unique temple complex, the Borisovo-Vvedenskoye tract, is hidden next to the village. Built in the 1990s in the best traditions of wooden architecture of the Russian North, unfortunately, it is now abandoned, but this makes it even more picturesque.
Dubrovitsy Manor
The Dubrovitsy Manor is an architectural masterpiece of the Moscow region Baroque, located in Podolsk. The main attraction is the unusual Znamensky Temple of the late 17th century with unique stone carvings and a crown instead of a dome, which makes it unlike other Orthodox churches. There is a picturesque park around the temple, and the manor itself was owned by famous noble families, including the Golitsyns. This is a place for walking, relaxing in nature and exploring the history and culture of Russia.It was first mentioned in historical documents and letters in 1627.
Perlov's Tea House
Perlov's Tea House, one of the most colorful buildings in Moscow, is located on Myasnitskaya Street. The mansion of merchant Perlov, built in 1893, was renovated for the arrival of Chinese ruler Li Hongzhang to Russia for the coronation of Nicholas II. The building has received an incredibly authentic look! The facade is decorated with a Chinese pagoda, dragons, and oriental-style carvings. On the ground floor there is a shop with tea and colonial goods. And today there is a shop in the building where you can buy tea, coffee, and sweets, or just go in and admire the preserved interiors.
HPP-2
HPP-2 is a cultural space in the center of Moscow, located on the banks of the Moskva River. Previously a power plant, it was completely renovated and opened to the public in 2021 as the GES-2 House of Culture. Architect Renzo Piano created a modern complex, preserving the historical elements of the building.Today, HPP-2 is a place for exhibitions of contemporary art, performances, lectures and workshops. Inside there are spacious halls, plenty of light and greenery, cafes and relaxation areas. You should definitely go up to the roof, which offers a panoramic view of Moscow.
The Kremlin and Zaryadye Park
The Moscow Kremlin is the historical heart of the capital. Inside the fortress, you can see ancient cathedrals, the famous Tsar Bell and Tsar Cannon, and also visit the museums of the Armory.Nearby is Zaryadye Park, a modern space with green areas, panoramic views of Moscow and a Floating Bridge that overhangs the Moskva River. Zaryadye Park is dedicated to the rich nature of Russia. Every corner of this park symbolizes one of the natural areas, there is even a year-round ice cave and a greenhouse.
