Tatyshev Island
This forest area, which has preserved its pristine appearance for centuries, is located in the heart of Krasnoyarsk. Walking around the island, you can see wild animals such as squirrels, raccoons and birds of various breeds. Gophers live especially well here. They have become a kind of symbol of the island. The townspeople come here to watch these funny animals and feed them. Today, the island is a well–maintained urban park, with comfortable walking paths, playgrounds, cafes and recreation areas.This is a favorite vacation spot of the townspeople!
Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric power station
One of the largest engineering structures in Russia. Built on the Yenisei River, the HPP has become the most important source of electricity for the vast region. The huge concrete walls of the dam, up to 124 meters high, create an impressive sight. And the total length of the dam wall is almost 1 kilometer.On the territory of the HPP, you can listen to a guided tour and visit the museum to learn more about the history of the construction and operation of the HPP. Or you can go up to the observation deck and enjoy the amazing view of the surrounding taiga.
Torgashinsky ridge and stairs
The Torgashinsky Ridge is a picturesque ridge of rocks that stretches for 15 kilometers on the southern outskirts of Krasnoyarsk. There is a hiking trail along the top of the ridge, which offers magnificent views of the city, the Yenisei River and the Krasnoyarsk Pillars. This is an ideal location for trekking: you can walk all day here, enjoying the unity with nature. In order to facilitate tourists' access to the ridge, a staircase was built here in 2021, which leads to the very top. The staircase has 1,683 steps (!), which is 1,200 meters long, and is listed in the Russian Book of Records.
Krasnoyarsk pillars
Krasnoyarsk pillars is a world of amazing shapes and colors created by the forces of nature. Here you will see huge stone monoliths overgrown with forest, winding streams and simply fantastic views. Each of the pillars is a huge rock formation, which reaches a height of several hundred meters. Locals and guests of the region come here to enjoy a walk in the mountains under the shade of a coniferous forest, and lovers of extreme sensations come to conquer the pillars and see the most spectacular panoramas of the taiga.
Ski resorts

If you want to practice skiing or snowboarding with a moderate degree of risk, we can recommend skiing without leaving Krasnoyarsk.
